1. What "Research Use Only" means
"Research Use Only" (RUO) is a regulatory category recognized by the FDA and used widely in scientific supply. RUO products:
- Are intended for laboratory research and scientific investigation by qualified individuals or institutions;
- Are not intended for, and may not be used for, diagnosis, treatment, mitigation, cure, or prevention of any disease or condition in humans or animals;
- Are not intended for human consumption by any route — including oral, sublingual, nasal, topical, inhalational, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, or any other route;
- Are not intended for veterinary use, in vivo animal experimentation that is not specifically licensed and IACUC-approved, food, cosmetic, or household use;
- Have not been evaluated for safety, efficacy, or quality by the FDA or any equivalent regulatory authority for human or veterinary use.
2. What you certify when you purchase
Each time you place an order with Aflu, you make the following representations:
- You are at least 21 years of age;
- You are purchasing the products solely for laboratory research, scientific investigation, or research-services purposes;
- You will not consume, ingest, inject, inhale, or otherwise introduce the products into the human body;
- You will not administer the products to any other human or animal;
- You will not repackage, relabel, or resell the products for any of the prohibited purposes above;
- You possess the scientific training, facilities, and credentials to handle research chemicals safely;
- You assume full and complete responsibility for the handling, storage, use, testing, and disposal of all products you purchase;
- You will comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws relating to the purchase, possession, and use of research chemicals.
3. What Aflu does and does not provide
3.1 What we do
- Source research-grade peptides and related compounds through documented third-party suppliers and laboratories;
- Publish identity- and purity-tested third-party Certificates of Analysis (COAs);
- Present source-paper summaries and research literature references so qualified researchers can evaluate the published science;
- Provide a research-protocol template tool that organizes commonly studied compounds and structures of literature into a single working document.
3.2 What we do not do
- We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or any clinical service of any kind;
- We do not recommend, suggest, or imply that any product is safe or effective for human or animal use;
- We do not recommend dosing for human use, and any dose information presented in source-paper summaries reflects published research literature only;
- We do not sell prescription drugs, FDA-approved therapeutics, or dietary supplements;
- We do not employ, retain, or partner with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, or any other licensed healthcare providers as part of the Site or Services.

5. Assumption of risk
Research chemicals can be dangerous if mishandled. By purchasing from Aflu, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with the handling, storage, use, testing, transfer, and disposal of any product you purchase. These risks include, without limitation: chemical exposure, allergic reaction, contamination, fire, equipment failure, regulatory action, and any consequence of improper use.
Aflu, its officers, directors, employees, agents, Suppliers, and licensors are not responsible for any harm, injury, death, property damage, or other loss arising from your handling or use of any product. This allocation of risk is reflected in Aflu's pricing and is a material part of the bargain between you and Aflu (see Terms of Service, Section 12 and Section 13).
6. FDA status
The products offered through Aflu have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. They are not drugs and they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease or condition. Statements on the Site about research findings reflect published scientific literature and are not statements of clinical efficacy or safety.
7. Compliance with law
You are responsible for ensuring that your purchase, possession, and use of any product purchased from Aflu complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Some research compounds may be regulated, restricted, or prohibited in your jurisdiction. Aflu may decline to ship to certain addresses or states based on regulatory considerations and reserves the right to refuse any order for any lawful reason.
8. Reporting concerns
If you believe a product you received was mislabeled, contaminated, materially defective, or otherwise problematic, please contact us immediately at team@aflu.com with your order number and photographs. Please also see the Replacements for Defects provision in our Terms of Service.
9. Relationship to other policies
This Research Use Disclaimer is incorporated into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service. The full liability framework, including the limitation of liability, indemnification, mandatory arbitration, class action waiver, jury trial waiver, and governing law provisions, is set forth in the Terms.
